Perodua achieved a historic milestone in 2024, selling 358,102 vehicles, the highest annual sales figure in its history. This represents an 8.4% increase compared to its previous record of 330,325 vehicles sold in 2023.

The company also reached new heights in production, manufacturing 368,100 vehicles in 2024, a 7.2% increase over the 343,400 units produced in 2023. This achievement highlights Perodua’s ability to surpass its installed capacity of 320,000 units, setting a new benchmark for the industry.

“We have demonstrated dynamic synchronization to achieve our shared goals,” said Perodua President and CEO Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad. “This accomplishment showcases our potential and serves as a benchmark for the automotive industry. It also proves that quality and quantity can go hand in hand with effective communication and coordination.”

In 2024, Perodua captured an estimated 44% of the total industry volume (TIV), which exceeded 814,000 units. The company believes it was the primary driver of market growth last year.

Quarterly performance further solidified Perodua’s position. In the final quarter of 2024, it registered 97,741 vehicles, a slight 0.7% increase over the same period in 2023. December alone saw 32,202 units sold, a 3.2% improvement compared to December 2023.

The company also saw a 9.7% growth in after-sales services, with vehicle intake rising to 3.4 million in 2024 from 3.1 million the previous year.

Looking ahead to 2025, Dato’ Sri Zainal acknowledged the challenges posed by increased competition from new automotive brands but expressed confidence in Perodua’s readiness to lead the industry.

“We are committed to exceeding the expectations of our shareholders, government, vendors, dealers, partners, and, most importantly, our customers. To all Malaysians, thank you for your trust in us—we will continue striving to deliver excellence,” he said.
