Tesla continues to strengthen its presence in Malaysia by launching a new V4 Supercharging Station at Skudai R&R (South Bound). The station adds four V4 Superchargers to Tesla’s growing charging network, offering efficient and convenient charging for Tesla owners.

The new Superchargers in Skudai join Tesla’s existing network, which now consists of:

  • 13 Supercharging Stations with a total of 60 Superchargers
  • 13 Destination Charging Stations offering 64 chargers

In addition, Tesla has equipped locations like the Shangri-La Hotel in Kuala Lumpur with two Destination Chargers, further enhancing accessibility for owners.

Tesla’s V4 Superchargers deliver a peak charging rate of 250kW, enabling a Tesla to gain 120km of range in just 5 minutes. At RM1.13 per kW, Tesla continues to offer the lowest Supercharging rates in Malaysia. To encourage efficient charger use, an idle fee of RM4 per minute is implemented, ensuring better availability for all owners.

Isabel Fan, Regional Director of Tesla, emphasized the company’s commitment to sustainability: “Tesla’s mission is to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy. By building charging infrastructure around people’s lifestyles, we aim to provide a seamless EV experience for Malaysians.”

With the Tesla App, owners can:

  • Check Supercharger availability
  • Monitor charging progress in real-time
  • Receive notifications when the vehicle is ready to go

Tesla vehicles also feature automatic battery preconditioning, optimizing efficiency during charging. Combined with Tesla’s impressive range and minimal maintenance needs, owners can enjoy more time on the road and fewer interruptions.
