Proton’s debut electric vehicle, the e.MAS 7, is making a splash at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2024, running from December 5 to 11. Showcased with an eye-catching holographic wrap dubbed Nadi e.MAS, the display highlights the arrival of Malaysia’s pioneering electric vehicle (EV) while celebrating Proton’s innovation and heritage.
The wrap’s pulsing gradient design symbolizes the limitless potential of the e.MAS 7, underscoring its role as a groundbreaking step in the nation’s sustainable mobility landscape. Visitors to the Proton pavilion can also engage with the Nadi e.MAS Drive Sustainability Pledge, an initiative encouraging Malaysians to adopt sustainable practices. By making a pledge, participants contribute to a live carbon emissions tracker displayed at the event.
KLIMS 2024 was officiated by Deputy Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Sri Haji Fadillah bin Haji Yusof, who also serves as Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation. During his visit to the Proton pavilion, he commemorated the conclusion of the e.MAS 7 Tour, a nationwide road trip showcasing the vehicle’s capabilities.
The Proton e.MAS 7 Tour, which began in October, marked a historic milestone as Malaysia’s first electric vehicle roadshow spanning the country. Starting at Proton’s Centre of Excellence in Shah Alam, the tour covered over 4,020 kilometers across 13 states, from Sabah’s rugged mountain roads to Terengganu’s scenic coastal highways. This journey demonstrated the vehicle’s reliability across diverse terrains, further boosting public anticipation for Proton’s electric debut.
Visitors to KLIMS can explore the e.MAS 7’s features while participating in interactive activities. By taking the Nadi e.MAS pledge and answering questions about EVs, attendees can walk away with a goodie bag and stand a chance to win an RM50 Touch ‘n Go eWallet credit. Simply snap a photo with the e.MAS 7 and share it on social media with the hashtag #NADIeMAS7.
Proton has officially opened bookings for the e.MAS 7 at its dealerships and on the e.MAS app. A RM500 booking fee secures your spot, with early birds benefiting from the Pioneer Privilege Deal, which includes a RM500 rebate and a gift pack worth RM1,000. Attendees who book the vehicle at KLIMS 2024 will also receive a limited-edition Hot Wheels Proton Saga (available to the first 200 bookings).
Through its e.MAS 7 launch and initiatives like the Drive Sustainability Pledge, PRO-NET, Proton’s EV division, aims to inspire Malaysians to embrace eco-friendly mobility. The e.MAS 7’s quiet, zero-emission performance symbolizes Proton’s commitment to reducing environmental impact while pushing the nation closer to a sustainable future.
