The Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2024 has officially opened its doors at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), celebrating its 10th edition as the country’s leading automotive exhibition. Organized by the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) and managed by Qube Integrated Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (Qube), the event centers around the theme “Beyond Mobility,” spotlighting advancements in sustainability, electrification, and autonomous technology.

The opening ceremony was officiated by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, YAB Dato’ Sri Haji Fadillah Bin Haji Yusof, who highlighted KLIMS’ pivotal role in shaping Malaysia’s green and innovative future. Minister of Transport YB Anthony Loke also attended the event, underscoring its national significance.

KLIMS 2024 provides a platform to explore transformative trends in mobility, showcasing electric vehicles (EVs), hydrogen-powered vehicles, autonomous driving technologies, and eco-friendly solutions. The exhibition also focuses on last-mile mobility, featuring innovative two-wheelers and other sustainable transportation systems. In alignment with Malaysia’s energy transition goals, the event promotes EV adoption and green technologies while reinforcing the automotive sector’s importance in driving economic growth. By fostering partnerships among local manufacturers, SMEs, and global players, KLIMS positions Malaysia as a regional leader in automotive innovation.

The grand opening drew over 800 attendees, eager to witness exclusive product previews. Highlights included GWM’s luxury-oriented WEY 80 and rugged Tank 500, Perodua’s futuristic EMO-II concept car, Nissan’s all-new B-SUV, and Toyota’s Camry Hybrid and Corolla Cross Hybrid. Mazda showcased the versatile CX60 and CX80, while KIA launched the stylish Sportage. MG Motor introduced the Cyberster, GAC Aion previewed the premium GAC M8 and ES electric models, and Honda unveiled the iconic Prelude. Proton, fresh from its success in the Sepang 1000KM race, showcased the S70 R3 team car. Renowned brands such as Mitsubishi, Royal Enfield, and Xpeng also made notable appearances.

Visitors can expect an unforgettable experience, with cutting-edge car debuts, futuristic concept vehicles, and exciting activities like race simulators. Automotive clubs from across Malaysia will also be present, adding to the vibrant atmosphere. Attendees have the chance to win incredible prizes, including a Toyota Yaris 1.5G Limited, a Perodua AXIA, and rewards totaling RM250,000.
