The 10th Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show 2024 (KLIMS 2024) wrapped up on a triumphant note, drawing 183,221 visitors over seven dynamic days at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC). Anchored by the theme “Beyond Mobility,” the event spotlighted nearly 70 leading automotive and mobility brands, emphasizing electrification and sustainability as pivotal drivers of innovation.

KLIMS 2024 featured an impressive lineup of participants, including global giants like Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi, and Nissan, alongside regional stalwarts such as Perodua and Proton. Highlights included Toyota’s unveiling of the FT-3e, Land Cruiser SE, Hilux FCEV, and the versatile Kayoibako concept. Honda dazzled with its Prelude Concept, the compact Motocompacto electric scooter, and an ambitious eVTOL flying car prototype. Local ingenuity shone through with Perodua’s eMO-II EV concept and the bold Ativa Fuze concept, underscoring Malaysia’s growing footprint in the mobility sector.

Mohd Shamsor Bin Mohd Zain, President of the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA), remarked, “KLIMS 2024 underscores Malaysia’s expanding role in the global mobility ecosystem. From cutting-edge automotive technologies to visionary prototypes, this event showcases our nation’s commitment to shaping the future of transportation.” He also expressed gratitude to sponsors such as UMW Toyota Motor, Perodua Sales, and Affin Bank for their support in making the show a resounding success.

Exhibitors were recognized for their creativity and innovation through the prestigious Best Booth Design Awards. In the OEM Category (400 sqm and above), UMW Toyota Motor secured the top spot, followed by Proton and Perodua. Stellantis Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. triumphed in the smaller OEM Category (399 sqm and below), while PECCA Leather Sdn. Bhd. emerged as the leader in the Non-OEM Category. Booth designs were judged based on visual appeal, efficient space utilization, interactivity, and functionality.

The event thrilled visitors with enticing rewards, including a Toyota Yaris 1.5G Limited as the grand prize and a Perodua Axia for the first prize winner. These prizes capped off a week of excitement and innovation, celebrated during the MAA-hosted Appreciation High-tea.
