GWM Malaysia started the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2024 with a showcase of a remarkable lineup of vehicles designed for innovation, performance, and user-centric experiences. The event includes the much-anticipated previews of two new models: the GWM TANK 500 and GWM WEY 80, with the TANK 500 set to debut in the Malaysian market in 2025.
The GWM TANK 500 builds on the success of its predecessor, the TANK 300. This luxurious, seven-seater off-road SUV blends robust design with cutting-edge features. Measuring 5,078 mm in length, 1,934 mm in width, and 1,905 mm in height, it boasts a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder hybrid engine paired with a 9-speed hybrid automatic transmission. Delivering an impressive 258 kW of power and 648 Nm of torque, the TANK 500 offers 11 driving modes, TANK Turn, Off-road Cruise Control, and a high approach angle of 36.9°, making it an ideal choice for both urban and off-road adventures.
Meanwhile, the GWM WEY 80 redefines luxury in the MPV segment. This premium seven-seater features a powerful plug-in hybrid electric system powered by Dedicated Hybrid Technology (DHT). With a combined output of 487 PS and 762 Nm of torque, it delivers a smooth yet dynamic driving experience. Its spacious interior, supported by a 3,085 mm wheelbase, offers premium leather zero-gravity seats with adjustable backrests and leg supports for ultimate comfort. The WEY 80 also includes thoughtful features such as foldable tables for second-row passengers and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, ensuring both functionality and entertainment on the road.
