GoCar Malaysia and Yinson GreenTech’s drivEV are expanding their partnership by introducing electric vehicle (EV) car-sharing services in Johor Bahru. This initiative aims to promote sustainable travel by making EVs accessible to local residents and Singaporean visitors at key locations across the city.

Two EV models, the Aion Y Plus and Ora Good Cat, are now available for booking, offering a zero-carbon mobility solution to meet the increasing demand for environmentally friendly transportation in southern Malaysia.

To enhance convenience, GoCar has collaborated with Handal Indah Sdn Bhd (HISB), a subsidiary of HI Mobility Berhad, to integrate the EV car-sharing service with the Electric Causeway Link buses. Travelers from Singapore can now transition effortlessly to EVs upon arrival in Johor Bahru, with car-sharing locations strategically placed at Toppen Shopping Centre and other major transit hubs.

Wong Hoe Mun, CEO of GoCar Malaysia, highlighted the success of their EV-sharing fleet in Klang Valley and its potential to drive sustainable urban transport.

“By expanding this initiative to Johor Bahru with drivEV, we are furthering our commitment to reducing carbon footprints. This launch supports local residents and offers Singaporean visitors an eco-friendly way to explore the city, making zero-emission mobility accessible to everyone.”

  • Ora Good Cat: Starting at RM24.90 per hour or RM199 per day.
  • Aion Y Plus: From RM27.90 per hour or RM279 per day.
