Since its grand opening in August 2024, Curvistan Bangkok has transformed into a dynamic hub for the Porsche community and beyond. Seamlessly blending roles as a bar, café, art gallery, and cultural hangout, it celebrates the intersection of car culture, art, and design.
This vibrant space, supported by Porsche Asia Pacific and Porsche Thailand, is the brainchild of Stefan Bogner, the creative force behind Curves magazine, and Chanond Ruangkritya, the visionary entrepreneur spearheading the Porsche Design Tower Bangkok project nearby. Together, they have crafted an environment that resonates with design enthusiasts and automotive aficionados alike.
As the holiday season draws near, Curvistan Bangkok unveils an exclusive exhibition: “Porsche Unseen Design Studies.” The showcase offers visitors a rare glimpse into Porsche’s concept cars, curated from the archives of Michael Mauer, Vice President Style Porsche, who has shaped the brand’s design identity for nearly 20 years.
Among the highlights is the “Vision Spyder,” a full-scale conceptual reinterpretation of a modern, lightweight roadster inspired by the 1950s Porsche 550 Spyder. With its minimalistic cockpit, mid-engine layout, red racing stripes, and sleek fins, the Vision Spyder embodies Porsche’s legacy of compact performance.
Visitors will also be treated to an exclusive preview of the Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade, a one-of-a-kind creation developed through Porsche’s Sonderwunsch program. With its shifting Chromaflair-pigmented paint and Southeast Asia-inspired detailing, this electric sports car offers a fusion of technological innovation and cultural homage.
In addition to these centerpiece models, the exhibition features an array of scale concept designs, including the Macan “Vision Safari” SUV, the futuristic “Vision 918 RS” and “Vision 920” hypercars, and the Formula E-inspired “Vision E.” Each showcases Porsche’s cutting-edge design and experimentation.
“This collection represents some of the most exciting projects I’ve ever worked on, and bringing them to Curvistan Bangkok is a dream come true,” said Stefan Bogner, founder of Curves magazine and publisher of the Porsche Unseen book. “We hope this exhibition becomes a must-visit destination for design enthusiasts, Porsche fans, and car lovers from Thailand and beyond.”
The “Porsche Unseen Design Studies” exhibition runs from 22 November 2024 to 28 February 2025 at Curvistan Bangkok. Open daily from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, the event offers free entry, making it an unmissable attraction for anyone visiting the city.
