Tesla is continuing its mission to accelerate the global transition to sustainable energy by launching the Refer and Earn program in Malaysia. This initiative aims to engage the Tesla community in promoting green transport and encouraging the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs).
The Refer and Earn program offers benefits for both current Tesla owners and new buyers. Tesla owners can earn RM1,050 in credits for each person they refer who successfully purchases and takes delivery of a Tesla vehicle. These credits can be used for Supercharging, merchandise, or service payments. Additionally, the first 10 individuals who buy a Tesla using a referral code will receive an exclusive RM2,100 discount on their purchase price.
How It Works:
- Tesla owners access their unique referral links via the Tesla app.
- They share this referral link with friends or family.
- Rewards are earned once the referred individual takes delivery of their new Tesla.

Tesla vehicles also qualify for Malaysia’s green incentives, which aim to support the growth of EV adoption. The company is offering a 0% interest rate with a minimum down payment of 10%, and loan terms extending up to 9 years. Pricing for the Tesla Model 3 starts from RM181,000 (with daily payments as low as RM55), and the Model Y starts from RM191,000 (with daily payments from RM58). Tesla is rapidly expanding its charging infrastructure in Malaysia. The company recently launched a new Tesla Destination Charging station at Equatorial Plaza, featuring three chargers located in the basement parking area. Tesla now operates 12 Supercharging stations with 56 Superchargers, as well as 14 Destination Charging stations with 72 chargers across the country. Future charging stations are planned for Kuala Lumpur, Johor, and Shah Alam to meet the growing demand. 
Additionally, Tesla Malaysia will co-host a test-drive event with EQ at the Equatorial Plaza from October 23-27, 2024. A pop-up showcase will be available in the hotel lobby to display Tesla’s latest technology to tenants, guests, and patrons.
