SAIC Motor Malaysia has proudly announced the graduation of 39 newly certified MG technicians, marking a significant step toward enhancing aftersales services across the country. With their new qualifications, these technicians are now fully equipped to provide exceptional service, ensuring MG customers receive high-quality support for both Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and Electric Vehicle (EV) models. This achievement is expected to boost customer satisfaction and reinforce confidence in MG vehicles throughout Malaysia.

The technicians underwent a comprehensive training program tailored for both ICE and EV technologies. In collaboration with local trainers and academies, SAIC Motor Malaysia designed a curriculum based on advanced overseas training modules, ensuring the team is up-to-date with the latest global standards and innovations.

Last month, SAIC Motor Malaysia took part in an international training initiative facilitated by SAIC Motor International, leading to the certification of their technicians in handling the latest MG models. Training was conducted in key markets, including Shanghai for the MG4 and ZS EV, and Thailand for the MG5 and MG HS. This hands-on training ensured the graduates acquired essential practical skills to service and repair MG’s most cutting-edge vehicles.

Among the 39 graduates, two female service advisors stood out, emphasizing the growing importance of skilled EV technicians as Malaysia continues to see a rise in EV adoption. The specialized training not only focused on current vehicle technologies but also aimed to prepare participants for future advancements in the automotive industry. SAIC Motor Malaysia is committed to further investing in the growth of these technicians, offering advanced training programs on EV and high-voltage battery technology and fostering career progression from Junior to Master Technician.

“Training and service are integral parts of the customer experience, especially as Malaysia embraces the rise of electromobility,” said Emory QiFeng, Managing Director of SAIC Motor Malaysia. “We are focused on building a skilled workforce that not only meets but exceeds customer expectations. By delivering top-tier aftersales support, we can instill confidence in our customers as they transition to MG’s innovative vehicle lineup.”

As MG continues to expand its presence in Malaysia, drivers can expect thrilling performance and cutting-edge technology. MG’s youthful charm and British motoring heritage are set to redefine the driving experience. Keep an eye out for upcoming launch dates and an opportunity to test drive these exciting MG models, as the brand makes its mark on Malaysian roads.
