MINI enthusiasts and owners gathered for an unforgettable weekend at Resorts World Awana Open Carpark in Genting Highlands, celebrating Malaysia MINI Day, an event organized by the MINI Pattern Group, a dedicated club of MINI owners. The event, which took place over the weekend, saw a record-breaking turnout with 543 registered MINIs, solidifying it as the largest MINI gathering in Malaysia. By 11:30 AM on 27th October, 513 MINIs had already registered, and by the close of the event, the number grew to 543, reflecting the strong passion and camaraderie within the MINI community.
The festivities began on 26 October with a special dinner marking the 10th Anniversary of the MINI Pattern Group. The celebration honored the incredible journey of the MINI community over the years. The following day, the event grounds transformed into a lively festival, packed with MINI cars and activities for participants.
One of the highlights of the day was a test drive event, held in collaboration with Millennium Welt, where participants could experience the thrill and iconic go-kart feel of the latest MINI Electric models, including the MINI Cooper 3-Door, the MINI Countryman, and the New MINI Aceman.
Adding to the excitement, competitions were held to showcase the best MINIs, with awards for the Best Modern MINI, Best Classic MINI, and Best Rocker Cover, the latter offering a creative twist as participants customized engine oil covers into MINI car models.
The event also featured a Car Boot Sale, a crowd favorite, where MINI owners displayed their beloved cars and offered a variety of food, memorabilia, and crafts for sale. The day concluded in a celebratory atmosphere, embodying the spirit of friendship and passion that defines the MINI community.
