PRO-NET recently announced the appointment of 36 Proton e.MAS dealerships, significantly increasing its initial commitment from 17 dealerships in June 2024. This expansion showcases the company’s dedication to advancing Malaysia’s electric vehicle (EV) market and enhancing customer service capabilities.
In conjunction with this dealership expansion, over 40 Malaysian dealer executives and principals visited the Geely Research Institute (GRI) in Hangzhou, China. The three-day tour aimed to immerse participants in Geely’s cutting-edge technology and to provide insights into the sales and service operations of premium EV models.
The visit to the state-of-the-art GRI center enabled the group to explore the intelligent technologies integrated into the Proton e.MAS 7, the brand’s inaugural model. Attendees also had the opportunity to experience the technology firsthand by driving a Geely E5 on closed tracks.
Additionally, the group toured the Vehicle Validation Centre and the New Energy Validation Centre to observe Geely’s rigorous pre-production testing and validation processes for manufacturing and technology.
To elevate the standards of customer service, sales techniques, staff training, and operational efficiencies, dealership executives visited various premium Geely dealerships. They were impressed by the modern showroom experiences and quality standards, which they plan to integrate into future Proton e.MAS dealerships.
Armed with new insights and strategies, Proton e.MAS dealers aspire to create dealerships that serve as centers of innovation and education, dedicated to fostering understanding of next-generation EV technology.
