BYD Auto Industry Co., Ltd. has taken a significant step in expanding its presence in Malaysia with the official signing of the Denza Importation & Distribution Agreement. The ceremony, held earlier today at Sunway Resort Hotel, confirmed Sime Darby Auto Imports Sdn. Bhd. as the official importer, and BYD Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. as the distributor of Denza, BYD’s premium electric vehicle (EV) sub-brand, in Malaysia.
This agreement marks Denza’s first venture into the Malaysian market, offering a fresh and luxurious dimension to the country’s rapidly growing EV sector. With its cutting-edge technology, innovative features, and superior driving experience, Denza aims to provide Malaysians with a premium EV experience like no other. This collaboration also further strengthens the relationship between BYD and Sime Darby, with Sime Darby now officially serving as an importer for BYD vehicles.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Liu Xueliang, General Manager of BYD’s Asia-Pacific Auto Sales Division, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership: “We are excited to partner with Sime Darby Auto Imports to bring Denza to the Malaysian market, marking a significant milestone for BYD as we expand our electric vehicle offerings in Southeast Asia. With Denza, we will offer premium technology and features, setting new standards for Malaysian drivers in the EV industry.”
