Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) is thrilled to announce that the highly-anticipated Hyundai Santa Fe is now open for booking across Malaysia. Available in two dynamic variants – a 2.2L Diesel and a 1.6L Hybrid – the fourth-generation Santa Fe continues to set the standard for family SUVs, delivering a remarkable combination of power, efficiency, and sophisticated design.

The new Santa Fe’s design is striking, featuring a wide grille with Hyundai’s signature geometric pattern seamlessly integrated with T-shaped LED Daytime Running Lights, creating a commanding road presence. The SUV’s sporty profile is highlighted by a dynamic line that flows from front to rear, while the rear showcases a sleek illuminated bar connecting the taillights, emphasizing its width and stability.

The locally assembled (CKD) Santa Fe offers two compelling powertrain options tailored to different driving preferences. The 2.2L Diesel variant, powered by a robust CRDi engine, delivers an impressive 202 PS and 440 Nm of torque, ensuring a smooth and powerful drive for long-distance journeys. For eco-conscious drivers, the 1.6L Hybrid combines a Gamma-II T-GDi Hybrid engine with an electric motor, producing a combined 230 PS and 350 Nm of torque. This hybrid option offers enhanced fuel efficiency and reduced emissions without compromising on performance.

Both variants come with Hyundai’s innovative Terrain Mode selector, allowing drivers to optimize vehicle performance across various conditions, including sand, snow, and mud, along with eco, sport, comfort, and smart modes. The 2.2L Diesel model also features HTRAC® All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) for superior traction and handling on challenging terrains.

Inside, the Santa Fe offers a spacious, comfortable cabin with top-notch features. The high center console, crafted from premium soft-touch materials, creates an armchair-like seating position for the driver and front passenger, adding a touch of luxury. The intuitive layout of controls ensures ease of use, while the Terrain Mode selector, conveniently located on the center console, allows for quick and easy mode switching.

The interior is further enhanced with a 10.25-inch AVN (audio, video, navigation) touchscreen display, which includes pre-loaded maps, satellite-based voice-guided navigation, and a comprehensive suite of in-car entertainment features. Dual Zone Automatic Climate Control provides optimum comfort regardless of the weather, while the Smart Power Tailgate simplifies loading and unloading.

Safety remains a priority in the Santa Fe, with the Hyundai SmartSense Safety Suite offering features such as Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, and Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go. The 1.6L Hybrid HS and 2.2L Diesel variants also include a Blind Spot View Monitor and Surround View Monitor for enhanced visibility and safety.

The Hyundai Santa Fe comes in four distinctive colors: Jet Black, Snowflake White Pearl, Meteor Grey, and Stormy Sea, perfectly complementing its sleek and dynamic design. The Hyundai Santa Fe is now open for booking at authorized Hyundai showrooms across the country. The first 100 customers can enjoy an early bird discount, with prices set at RM185,888 for the 1.6L Turbo Hybrid Plus, RM205,888 for the 1.6L Turbo Hybrid Max, and RM199,888 for the 2.2L Turbo Diesel Max (on-the-road, excluding insurance) — a savings of RM10,000 off the standard price. The Ioniq 5 N was launched on July 14, 2023, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed as the top model in Hyundai’s N performance lineup. Its exterior features a redesigned front with larger air intakes, air curtains, and flaps for better cooling. The rear includes a wiper, a spoiler with a triangular brake light, and a diffuser. It is 50 mm wider and 20 mm lower than the standard model, thanks to extended wheel arches and a wider track. To improve rigidity, the car’s structure includes 42 extra welding points and 2.1 meters of additional adhesives. The motor and battery mounts are reinforced, and the subframes are enhanced for better lateral stability. The power steering offers a higher ratio and better torque feedback.

The Ioniq 5 N has two electric motors, delivering a total of 448 kW (601 hp) and 740 Nm (546 lb-ft) of torque. The N Grin Boost mode increases this to 478 kW (641 hp) and 770 Nm (568 lb-ft) for 10 seconds, enabling a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 3.5 seconds, or 3.4 seconds with the boost mode. It also features an 84 kWh lithium-ion battery. To mimic a traditional internal combustion engine feel, the car includes an N e-shift function that simulates an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission and an N Active Sound+ system that plays different sound themes, such as a 2.0-liter turbo engine, futuristic EV sounds, or jet engine noises. As of now, the Ioniq 5 N is estimated to be priced at RM 388,000.
