UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd (UMWT) has maintained its strong performance with an impressive total monthly sales figure of 8,500 units in August 2024. This brings the year-to-date sales to approximately 64,000 units as of August 2024. Leading the charge are the Toyota Vios, Toyota Hilux, and Toyota Corolla Cross, reflecting strong demand for Toyota’s sedan, pick-up, and SUV models in Malaysia.
Building on this momentum, UMWT began taking orders on August 16, 2024, for the enhanced 2024 models of the Toyota Hilux, Fortuner, and GR86. The popular Hilux now features Vehicle Stability Control in the 2.4 Single Cab variant, along with upgrades such as Remote Engine Start and a Panoramic View Monitor in select models. The Fortuner, known for its rugged versatility, introduces a GR Body Kit Package and Remote Engine Start in higher trims. Meanwhile, the GR86, Toyota’s high-performance coupe, boasts sharper handling, improved throttle response, refined suspension tuning, and new front and rear Digital Video Recorders (DVR), providing an exhilarating driving experience for enthusiasts.
To enhance the car-buying experience, UMWT has launched the “Move in Harmony” promotion for September 2024. This promo offers significant savings, including up to RM9,500 off the New Yaris, with monthly instalments starting from as low as RM658. Additionally, the Toyota Service Savers program provides affordable service packages with instalments starting from RM31 per month.
