Sime Darby Motors has recently expanded its BYD SEAL lineup with the introduction of the new BYD SEAL Dynamic variant, complementing the existing Premium and Performance versions. This addition completes the full lineup, offering Malaysian customers a wider range of electric sedan options. The BYD SEAL, which launched earlier this year, has already registered over 2,200 units as of the end of August 2024.
The BYD SEAL Dynamic RWD is available in two elegant color options, Cosmos Black and Aurora White, and is competitively priced at RM163,800. For early adopters, the first 100 bookings will come with a complimentary Wall Box Home charger, adding further value to this exciting new variant.
To ensure customer peace of mind, the BYD SEAL range comes with an extensive warranty package: a 6-year or 150,000 km vehicle warranty, an 8-year or 160,000 km high-voltage battery warranty, and an 8-year or 150,000 km drive unit warranty.
The BYD SEAL Dynamic RWD variant offers advanced technology and stylish design at an accessible price point. Meanwhile, the previously launched BYD SEAL RWD Premium variant, priced from RM179,800, provides a blend of performance and range, while the AWD Performance variant, starting at RM199,800, is tailored for enthusiasts seeking thrilling acceleration.
The Dynamic RWD’s coupe-like silhouette combines aerodynamic efficiency with visual appeal, embodying BYD’s Ocean Aesthetics design language. This design has earned multiple awards, including the iF Design Award, and was a Top 3 finalist for the 2024 World Car of the Year. Its recognition as the VOTY 2024 Electric Performance Sedan of the Year by DSF.my in Malaysia further cements its status as an industry leader. Unique features of the Dynamic RWD variant include a newly designed rim, adding a distinctive touch to its exterior.
The BYD SEAL Dynamic RWD is equipped with a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, integrated with the BYD App and voice command functionality, delivering an intuitive driving experience. The BYD SEAL Dynamic RWD is powered by a 61.44 kWh LFP Blade battery pack, delivering 201 HP and 310 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.5 seconds, with a range of 510 km on the NEDC cycle, making it suitable for both daily commutes and long-distance drives. The Premium and Performance variants offer ranges of 650 km and 580 km, respectively. The Dynamic variant supports DC fast charging up to 110 kW and includes vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality, enhancing both convenience and efficiency.
