BMW Group Malaysia, in collaboration with TOC Automotive College, proudly announces the graduation of the first cohort of five students from the BMW Technical Trainee Programme (BTTP). This programme is redefining automotive training in Malaysia by equipping the next generation of specialised technicians with state-of-the-art skills and knowledge.

Benjamin Nagel, Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia, shared, “At the BMW Group, we believe that delivering a premium ownership experience starts with investing in exceptional talent. Our unique partnership with TOC Automotive College has been instrumental in developing local talent to excel in automotive technology. We congratulate our first five BTTP graduates, who have not only met the world-class standards of the BMW Group but are also ready to thrive in the ever-evolving automotive landscape.”

The BTTP is an intensive 3.5-year course designed to align with international standards set by the German Chamber of Commerce and the BMW Group. It combines rigorous classroom instruction with specialised BMW training, ensuring students gain the latest technical knowledge and diagnostic skills. The programme also includes a 12-month apprenticeship, providing students with hands-on experience in real-world settings.

Graduates receive a Diploma in Automotive Technology from TOC Automotive College, accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), as well as a certificate from BMW Group Malaysia. This dual certification ensures that graduates are highly recognised for their advanced skills and well-prepared for promising careers in the automotive industry.

The collaboration between BMW Group Malaysia and TOC Automotive College goes beyond the BTTP, encompassing various initiatives such as engine donations for research and development and integrating TOC alumni into BMW’s dealership network as interns and apprentices.
