BFGoodrich Malaysia Launches New All-Terrain T/A KO3 Tire: Engineered for Durability and Versatility

BFGoodrich Malaysia has officially introduced the latest member of its renowned All-Terrain series, the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 tire. Unveiled at a media launch event held at Terra in Petaling Jaya, this new tire builds on the success of its predecessor, the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2, by integrating cutting-edge tire technology to enhance performance across all terrains.

With adventure-seekers in mind, BFGoodrich developed the KO3 tire to cater to evolving needs by improving treadwear, toughness, and traction. The tire also revives the iconic raised white lettering on its sidewalls, showcasing the Baja Champion badge in more sizes than ever before.

Designed for maximum durability, the All-Terrain T/A KO3 tire features a newly engineered tread pattern and all-terrain compound. Its optimized footprint and full-depth 3D locking sipes ensure uniform wear over extended use, making it highly durable even on challenging gravel surfaces. These enhancements result in improved mileage and overall wear performance, providing long-lasting reliability for off-road enthusiasts.

BFGoodrich’s CoreGard Technology, borrowed from the Baja T/A KR3, boosts the KO3 tire’s toughness. By extending the split and bruise-resistant rubber down the sidewall, this tire offers additional protection against critical sidewall damage. Its Advanced Deflection Design helps prevent sharp objects from causing splits, making the KO3 ideal for navigating rough terrains.

The KO3 is engineered to deliver exceptional grip in challenging conditions. With features like full-depth 3D locking sipes, serrated shoulders, and Mud-Phobic Bars, the tire offers improved traction on mud, snow, and wet surfaces, earning it the prestigious Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake severe-snow rating. This innovation allows it to stop 4.2 meters shorter on wet roads than the KO2, while also improving stability for both on- and off-road driving.

BFGoodrich Malaysia plans to release over 62 sizes of the All-Terrain T/A KO3 tire in phases, starting with 39 sizes from September 2024. The full lineup will be available by 2026, with recommended retail prices ranging from RM825 to RM2946, depending on size.
