Volkswagen Malaysia celebrated 50 years of the Golf by bringing Golf owners together for a fun day out at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit. During the event, Volkswagen Malaysia prepared multiple activities for attendees to enjoy throughout the day. For the first time, the Volkswagen Golf GTI Edition 50 was displayed, allowing the public to take a closer look.
At the start of the day, Volkswagen Malaysia unveiled the Golf GTI Edition 50 to the public. The Golf GTI Edition 50 was released to commemorate five decades of the Volkswagen Golf. With only 50 units available, the Edition 50 features several upgrades that make it stand out from the regular Golf GTI. The Volkswagen Golf GTI Edition 50 is priced at RM 267,990. In addition to the Golf GTI Edition 50, Volkswagen Malaysia also showcased the past seven generations of the Volkswagen Golf for everyone to enjoy. 
For those who wanted to experience some dynamic activities, Volkswagen Malaysia brought out the locally assembled Volkswagen Golf R for drift taxi laps. Attendees were also allowed to test their driving skills by clocking the fastest time with the Golf GTI on a Gymkhana course. Additionally, Volkswagen Malaysia offered a full range of Volkswagen models for attendees to test drive. 
Besides these activities, Volkswagen Malaysia also prepared mini 4WDs, simulators, food trucks, and other stalls for attendees to visit. During the event, Volkswagen Malaysia invited a large number of Golf owners to come together to break the Malaysian Book of Records for the most Volkswagen Golfs ever gathered in one place. By the end of the day, nearly 370 units of the Golf had come together to celebrate this momentous event.
