The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Kuala Lumpur (MBFWKL) 2024 returns for its sixth edition, a three-day spectacle of cutting-edge fashion, design, and automotive innovation. This year’s theme, “Re”, celebrates the intersection of timeless luxury and sustainability, mirroring Mercedes-Benz’s commitment to both craftsmanship and eco-conscious design. The highlight of the event is the unveiling of the new Mercedes-Benz EQS 450 4MATIC SUV, a symbol of the brand’s push towards electric mobility, marrying performance with forward-thinking design.

Sustainability is at the heart of MBFWKL 2024, with Mercedes-Benz not only spotlighting the elegance and innovation of its vehicles but also elevating local designers who integrate sustainable practices into their work. This platform honours talents who redefine luxury while embracing eco-consciousness in every aspect of their creations.

Set against the industrial charm of The Yard at Sentul Depot from August 16 to 18, fashion enthusiasts are treated to breathtaking collections from over 10 designers. From haute couture to contemporary glam, the event promises a blend of creativity and elegance across a diverse range of styles. In addition to the fashion displays, guests will have the exclusive opportunity to experience the luxury and performance of Mercedes-Benz vehicles through test drives.

The opening day features collections from rising stars like EL by Ellie Lim and DOUBLEBACK by Will Lim, alongside established names such as Alice Chang of A-JANE and NOIZ. Ellie Lim’s mastery of texture and her use of sustainable fabrics promise to captivate audiences, while Will Lim’s bold and fearless designs are set to make an impact. Chang’s show, combining her A-JANE and NOIZ brands, puts a spotlight on sustainability, with 90% of her collection crafted through carbon-neutral processes and waste-reduction techniques. Her work highlights how eco-friendly fashion can be both avant-garde and commercially successful.
