On Wednesday, July 31, in the picturesque town of Stresa by Lake Maggiore, Maserati handed over two extraordinary vehicles to a passionate customer from the United States, a prominent entrepreneur in the biomedical sector. These vehicles represent the pinnacle of Maserati’s custom-built production.

One of the cars is the final Quattroporte ever produced, marking the end of an era for the V8 combustion engine. This model has been fittingly named the Quattroporte Grand Finale. The other is the MC20 Iris, a vehicle inspired by the vibrant colors of the rainbow, as suggested by its name (with “iris” being Latin for rainbow).

Both cars, crafted under the Maserati Fuoriserie customization program, showcase intricate details and sophisticated workmanship. The Quattroporte Grand Finale is adorned in the elegant Blu Nobile color, featuring a carbon fiber body kit painted to match, and brushed aluminum brake calipers. The car boasts a powerful 572-hp V8 engine, with a unique identification number, 999999, displayed on the windscreen and inside the driver’s door. A custom cover, signed by the Fuoriserie team and engineers, houses the engine, adding a personal touch to this farewell model.

Inside, the Quattroporte Grand Finale pays homage to Italian craftsmanship with meticulous detailing. The interior features a steering wheel with burl accents, tan door panels, a black leather A-pillar, and a black-stitched Trident logo on the headrest. Additional touches include a leather-lined boot, burl accents on the passenger door handle, a special ‘Grand Finale’ badge on the central tunnel, and dedicated door sills, ensuring this Quattroporte remains an iconic masterpiece.

The MC20 Iris, another exceptional creation, reflects Maserati’s dedication to precision and detail. The vehicle’s AI Aqua Rainbow exterior color, chosen by the customer, highlights its futuristic design. This color is also featured on the Trident logo on the hubcaps, reinforcing the car’s distinctive style.

Inside the MC20 Iris, the AI Aqua Rainbow color enhances the stitching on the armrest, central tunnel (crafted from prestigious ICE leather), and steering wheel. Unique details include color-coordinated ‘+’ and ‘-‘ signs on the steering wheel paddles and a similarly colored viewfinder on the steering wheel’s upper rim. The door sill, featuring laser-cut ‘MC20 Iris’ lettering, and the continued rainbow stitching in the engine compartment and boot, emphasize the car’s uniqueness. The MC20 Iris merges Maserati’s rich heritage with forward-thinking design, cementing its place as a groundbreaking model.

These two Maseratis, epitomizing the brand’s excellence and innovative spirit, were meticulously crafted to meet the specific desires of a discerning customer, showcasing the best of what Maserati has to offer.
