The highly anticipated, fully-electric Lotus Emeya Hyper-GT made its official debut today, coinciding with the grand opening of Lotus Cars Malaysia’s first flagship store in Kuala Lumpur. This new showroom, which boasts a floor space of 1,765 sq ft—987 sq ft of which is dedicated to showcasing the brand’s impressive lineup—marks a significant milestone for Lotus as it expands its presence in Malaysia. It complements the earlier Lotus Store at Pavilion Damansara Heights, which opened in February.

The Kuala Lumpur flagship store offers a luxurious experience for customers, featuring two custom delivery bays, a stylish lounge, a dedicated merchandising area, and a configurator room where customers can personalize every detail of their Lotus. From exterior and interior finishes to high-performance components and advanced safety features, buyers have endless customization options. Available add-ons include the Lotus Dynamic Handling Pack with 4-wheel steering, as well as Driving Aids like the Parking Pack and Highway Assist Pack.

At the heart of this new store is the Emeya, Lotus’ first electric four-door Hyper-GT. Designed and engineered as the ultimate driver’s car, the Emeya draws on Lotus’ 75-year legacy in motorsports and cutting-edge innovation. Already a recipient of the prestigious Red Dot Award for product design, the Emeya is available in three variants: Emeya, Emeya S, and Emeya R. In terms of pricing, the Emeya is priced at RM 555,000, the Emeya S is priced at RM 643,000, and the Emera R is priced at RM 777,000.

Featuring a full-time all-wheel-drive system with Lotus ICC intelligent torque distribution, the Emeya sets new benchmarks in the GT segment for performance, handling, and ride quality. Its electronically controlled air suspension reads the road 1,000 times per second, ensuring a smooth, controlled, and exhilarating drive.

The Emeya’s performance is powered by a high-output dual-motor configuration paired with a single-speed transmission (dual-speed in the Emeya R) and a race-grade braking system. Delivering between 603 hp and 905 hp with torque ranging from 710 Nm to 985 Nm, the Emeya accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds (under 2.78 seconds for the Emeya R). With a top speed exceeding 250 km/h, it ranks among the fastest electric GTs in the world.

Advanced active aerodynamics ensure superior downforce and stability, key characteristics that Lotus has perfected through years of racing success. An active front grille reduces drag, increases efficiency, and cools the braking system and batteries as needed. An active air dam and motorsport-inspired rear diffuser improve airflow and enhance grip and handling, while a dual-layer rear spoiler provides more than 215 kg of downforce for maximum control at high speeds.

The Emeya also boasts an impressive WLTP driving range of up to 610 km, depending on the variant. It supports rapid charging, adding 150 km of range in just five minutes using a 350 kW DC charger and boosting from 10% to 80% charge in only 18 minutes.

Inside, the Emeya is packed with intelligent technologies designed to elevate the driving experience. A 55-inch augmented reality head-up display (HUD) delivers real-time road data, navigation, and safety alerts, including turn signals, obstacle detection, and blind-spot monitoring. The cabin, designed with sustainability in mind, features materials like repurposed luxury fibers, PVD aluminum, and sustainably sourced Nappa leather, Ultrafabrics PU, and Alcantara.

The interior also offers an immersive audio experience, courtesy of Lotus’ partner, KEF. The award-winning Uni-Q™ speakers and Uni-Core™ subwoofers, combined with Dolby Atmos-enabled 3D surround sound, create a premium soundscape. Road Noise Cancellation (RNC) technology further enhances the cabin’s quietness by using sensors to detect vibrations and cancel out unwanted noise through the speakers.

Lotus Cars Malaysia also unveiled the all-new Emira Turbo, a mid-engine sports car developed on a lightweight aluminum chassis, continuing Lotus’ storied tradition of sports car excellence. With a 360 hp engine, the Emira Turbo accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 290 km/h. Priced at RM509,000 (excluding duties, insurance, and road tax), the Emira Turbo sets a new standard for four-cylinder Lotus sports cars.

Additionally, the new Lotus Kuala Lumpur flagship store showcased the Eletre—a new electric hyper SUV variant priced from RM598,800. Offering 603 hp and 710 Nm of torque, it achieves 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, with a top speed of 258 km/h and a driving range of 600 km.

The Lotus Kuala Lumpur Flagship Store is located at 24, Jalan Juruhebah U1/50, Temasya Industrial Park, Shah Alam. Customers are also invited to visit the Lotus Store at Pavilion Damansara Heights for more offerings.
