GoCar Malaysia, a pioneer in on-demand mobility services, has introduced the “GoCar Experience,” a new extended test drive program starting with the all-electric AION Y Plus.

This innovative program, the first of its kind in the industry, allows prospective buyers to take the AION Y Plus home for an extended period of three or seven days. This initiative provides a more realistic and thorough test drive experience, helping customers make informed purchase decisions.

The GoCar Experience with the AION Y Plus is available at an affordable rate of RM399 for the three-day trial and RM899 for the seven-day trial. Both options include complimentary EV charging credit—RM20 for the three-day test drive and RM50 for the seven-day option—which can be activated through the GoCar mobile app. A security deposit of RM399 is required for both trial plans, which will be fully refunded within 7-14 working days after the vehicle is returned. Additionally, those who decide to purchase the AION Y Plus will have their trial fee fully refunded.

Currently, the GoCar Experience program is exclusively available at AION Petaling Jaya. Interested individuals can make bookings by visiting the showroom on Jalan Kemajuan or through the GoCar Experience website. The program is open to all Malaysian drivers aged 18 and above with a valid driving license, as well as foreigners and expatriates with an international driving permit. Bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance, and vehicles can be collected and returned at the AION Petaling Jaya showroom from Monday to Sunday, between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

The AION Y Plus is offered in two variants: AION Y Plus Elite and AION Y Plus Premium, with prices ranging from RM119,800 to RM135,800. This all-electric vehicle is designed to cater to families and outdoor enthusiasts, boasting features such as:

  • Magazine Battery Safety Technology: A world-first with zero incidents of ignition or explosion during the Bullet Penetration Test.
  • Impressive Range: Offering a range of 490 km (NEDC), setting a new benchmark in battery life.
  • Spacious Interior: The seats can be fully folded down, transforming the cabin into a large, versatile space that can double as a bed.
  • Sleek Design: Features include angel wing headlights, a minimalist tail light design, and dual smart screens (a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch touchscreen display), blending form and function seamlessly.

On the weekend of 24-25 August 2024, AION Petaling Jaya will host a special event where visitors can explore the AION Y Plus and gain a deeper understanding of this latest all-electric vehicle. Open to the public, the event will feature a range of exciting activities, including a “Book & Win” lucky draw with RM8,000 in prizes up for grabs.

Early bird bookings will also receive exclusive giveaways such as RM1,000 charging credits, a wallbox charger (without installation), a mobile theatre set, or an outdoor adventure camping set. Visitors can also take the AION Y Plus for a quick test drive before deciding on an extended GoCar Experience. Additionally, attendees can participate in an interactive game challenge to win special gifts, while enjoying free food and drinks from food trucks—making it a perfect outing for families and car enthusiasts alike.
