MINI Malaysia proudly introduces the New MINI Family, showcasing four models that embody the brand’s fresh design language, “Charismatic Simplicity,” at the New MINI Family Launch Event. This new lineup includes two fully electric models, marking a significant milestone in the journey towards emission-free urban mobility.

The star of the event, making its debut in Malaysia, is the New MINI Cooper SE. This All-Electric model continues the legacy of the iconic MINI Cooper, renowned for its distinctive charm across generations. Joining the Cooper SE are three other new-generation models: the All-Electric MINI Countryman SE ALL4, the MINI John Cooper Works (JCW) Countryman ALL4, and the MINI Cooper S, first previewed at the Malaysia Autoshow 2024.

The New MINI Cooper SE stands out with a puristic design that pays homage to the brand’s heritage. Its front features an octagonal grille with intricate contouring, housing the smallest radar sensor among all BMW Group models. The LED headlights with high-beam assistant offer three selectable light signatures, each with unique welcome and goodbye animations.

The side profile of the Cooper SE is defined by short overhangs, a short bonnet, and a long wheelbase, creating an athletic silhouette. Modern elements like flush door openers and the absence of traditional side scuttles enhance its clean look. The 18-inch Night Flash spoke 2-tone wheels add to its visual appeal. An ultra-clean surface treatment highlights the body color and the contrasting roof and mirror caps in white.

Inside, the New MINI Cooper SE emphasizes essentials with fewer but high-quality components. The Favoured Trim includes a three-spoke sport steering wheel in Vescin and a two-tone houndstooth pattern in Grey and Beige on the dashboard’s knitted textile. Slim air vents and a MINI Head-Up display enhance the sleek design, with the dashboard remaining uncluttered.

The centerpiece of the cabin is a 240mm round OLED display with a touch-optimized interface, surrounded by curved surfaces and warm materials for a cozy atmosphere. The redesigned MINI toggle bar and center console improve ergonomics and storage capacity.

The New MINI Cooper SE delivers 218 hp and 330 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, with a top speed of 170 km/h. Its petrol counterpart, the New MINI Cooper S, offers 204 hp and 300 Nm of torque, thanks to a dual-petrol injection system.

Enhanced track width, wheelbase, and a finely tuned spring and damper configuration contribute to the Cooper SE’s lively handling. The battery’s low positioning lowers the center of gravity, while optimized weight distribution and a compact steering wheel enhance the go-kart sensation. The car’s lateral dynamics and grip are improved by optimized tire width.

The New MINI Cooper SE features a 54.2 kWh battery, offering a range of 387 to 402 kilometers on a single charge. Charging options include an 11 kW AC charger and a 95 kW DC charger, which can bring the battery from 10% to 80% in just under 30 minutes.

Equipped with the MINI Interaction Unit, the Cooper SE visualizes all driver assistance functions in real time. Standard features include Driving Assistant and Parking Assistant Plus, offering a range of safety and convenience features. Optional Driving Assistant Plus includes active cruise control with Stop&Go and steering and lane control assistance.

The New MINI Operating System 9 powers a digitalized experience through the MINI Interaction Unit. The MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant and the MINI App offer voice-controlled navigation, telephony, entertainment, and other vehicle functions. The MINI Connected Package and MINI Maps Package provide practical and entertaining apps tailored to enhance the driving experience.

The New MINI Cooper SE comes in colors like Blazing Blue, Nanuq White, Chili Red II, and more, with interior color Nightshade Blue. The Cooper S, Countryman SE ALL4, and JCW Countryman ALL4 also offer a range of bold and sporty color options.

All new MINI models are covered by MINI Malaysia’s 5-Year Roadside Assistance program, offering comprehensive services. Additionally, the New MINI Cooper SE and Countryman SE ALL4 come with an 8-Year/160,000 km Battery Warranty.
