Mercedes-Benz Malaysia introduces another addition to its lineup with the Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E PERFORMANCE F1 Edition, setting a new benchmark in AMG’s 55-year legacy. Inspired by Formula 1™ technology, this model integrates cutting-edge motorsport innovations into everyday driving. A two-speed electric motor on the rear axle complements the front-mounted 2.0-litre turbo engine, making it the world’s most powerful production four-cylinder engine.

This configuration ensures immediate power delivery and eliminates turbo lag, while the electric drive provides instant acceleration from a standstill. The AMG-exclusive electric powertrain and high-performance 400-volt battery showcase Affalterbach’s engineering prowess, offering rapid power output and innovative cell cooling technology. The combined system delivers 500 kW (680 hp) and 1,020 Nm of torque, propelling the vehicle from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, with a top speed electronically limited to 280 km/h.

The lithium-ion energy storage system, inspired by the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team’s hybrid racing cars, boasts a capacity of 6.1 kWh, a continuous output of 70 kW, and a peak output of 150 kW for ten seconds. Weighing only 89 kilograms, it achieves an impressive power density of 1.7 kW/kg. Charging is facilitated by a 3.7 kW on-board AC charger, compatible with charging stations, wallboxes, or household sockets.

The launch-exclusive Formula 1 Edition features distinctive MANUFAKTUR alpine grey solid paint with unique decals and red trim lines. The exterior design includes flared wheel arches, 20-inch AMG 10-spoke light-alloy wheels in matt black, and red brake callipers. The AMG Aerodynamics Package enhances high-speed handling and visual appeal, while the AMG Night Package adds dark chrome elements.

Inside, the contrast of black and red dominates, with AMG Performance seats in Exclusive black Nappa leather, red topstitching, and embossed AMG emblems. Red seat belts, AMG carbon-fibre trim with red accents, and an AMG Performance steering wheel in Nappa leather/MICROCUT microfibre with red stitching complete the look. AMG TRACK PACE transforms the vehicle into a virtual race engineer, while AMG Real Performance Sound enhances the sporty engine note. The head-up display offers AMG-specific styles like Race and Supersport.

Standard features include AMG RIDE CONTROL steel-spring suspension with Adaptive Damping System for a balance of sporty dynamics and long-distance comfort.
