Tesla has officially made its debut in Penang, introducing the latest Model 3 Performance, Model Y, and the highly anticipated Cybertruck. This launch follows the enthusiastic reception and support Tesla has received throughout Malaysia. From June 21 to 30, 2024, residents of Penang and the northern regions of Malaysia can experience the Model 3 and Model Y and get an up-close look at the revolutionary Tesla Cybertruck at the Ground Floor Centre Atrium at Gurney Plaza, George Town.
This event marks a significant milestone for Tesla as the company expands its presence in the northern states of Malaysia. Tesla also plans to open a dedicated after-sales service location in Penang soon. The public is invited to test drive the Model 3 and Model Y in Penang, offering a firsthand experience of Tesla’s cutting-edge electric vehicle technology and performance. Additionally, from June 22 to 30, the public can view the Cybertruck, Tesla’s much-discussed first electric compact truck, known for its futuristic and innovative design. Visitors are encouraged to take photos with this groundbreaking vehicle.
Penang currently hosts three Tesla charging sites: The Ship Campus, All Seasons Place, and Sunway Carnival. These sites offer a total of 12 Destination Chargers (Wall Connectors) and 4 V3 Superchargers. Tesla has also announced the installation of the first V4 Supercharging station in Penang at Gurney Plaza, enhancing the convenience and accessibility of owning a Tesla in the region. Further expansion of the charging infrastructure is planned.
