Proton New Energy Technology (PRO-NET) recently expanded their EV charging network through a partnership with ChargeSini. This strategic alliance underscores PRO-NET’s commitment to enhancing the EV landscape and providing an unparalleled ecosystem for its valued customers.
Central to this collaboration is PRO-NET’s dedication to improving the accessibility of public EV charging infrastructure nationwide. By integrating ChargeSini’s extensive network of charging stations, including numerous DC fast chargers located at hotels, supermarkets, and shopping malls, into its existing network accessible via the Hello smart app, PRO-NET continues to pave the way for seamless EV charging experiences. This integration boosts PRO-NET’s public charging points coverage from 70% to over 75% nationwide.
The signing ceremony, held at PRO-NET’s headquarters, marks a significant milestone in the journey towards electrifying mobility. Zhang Qiang, Chief Executive Officer of PRO-NET, and James Goh, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of ChargeSini, sealed this transformative alliance. This partnership is set to redefine the EV ecosystem in Malaysia, reflecting PRO-NET’s unwavering dedication to enhancing its collaborations with Charge Point Operators (CPO) like Gentari, chargeEV, and jomcharge. The collaboration with ChargeSini reinforces PRO-NET’s commitment to providing more convenient and reliable solutions for its customers.
With the addition of ChargeSini’s network, the Hello smart app is now the first and only app in Malaysia providing access to charging stations across four different CPOs. The app will offer over 75% coverage of public charging points nationwide, enhanced by ChargeSini’s extensive facilities. These updates will be available in the Hello smart app in Q3, offering users a seamless and convenient ownership experience.
The Hello smart app and the In-car Navigation System (DHU) allow customers to effortlessly search and locate charging stations, alleviating range anxiety while navigating to their destination. Live status capabilities ensure users are always informed about the availability of charging points. This seamless integration enables smart car users to initiate charging sessions and make payments directly within the Hello smart app, eliminating the need for multiple applications. This streamlined approach allows customers to manage their charging needs—from locating a station to completing the payment—all within a single, user-friendly platform, significantly enhancing the overall EV ownership experience.
As PRO-NET prepares for the launch of the highly anticipated smart #3 in Q3 this year, followed by Proton’s inaugural EV debut in 2025, this integration comes at a pivotal moment. PRO-NET remains committed to driving innovation, sustainability, and customer-centric solutions as it embarks on this electrifying journey. The expanded network and strategic partnerships ensure that customers can trust PRO-NET to deliver more convenient and efficient solutions for their EV needs.
