Porsche Malaysia, represented by Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP), is hosting the Porsche World Roadshow (PWRS) at Sepang International Circuit from 20 June to 29 June. This premier event offers the ultimate driving experience, guided by certified international Porsche instructors, and includes a variety of driving activities such as acceleration, braking, slalom, and off-road driving.
Participants will have the chance to drive an impressive lineup of Porsche models, including the 911 Targa 4 GTS, 911 Turbo S, 911 GT3 RS, 718 Cayman GT4 RS, Spyder RS, Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid, Macan GTS, new Panamera, new Taycan Turbo, and Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo.
A highlight of PWRS Malaysia is the premiere of the new Taycan, with prices starting from RM575,000. Attendees will also get an exclusive sneak preview of the all-electric Macan, available for pre-launch booking.
“We are thrilled to host PWRS in Malaysia as it offers a truly extraordinary driving experience for Porsche enthusiasts, immersing them in the fascination of sports cars. It provides a unique opportunity to experience the full potential of these high-performance machines, offering a real taste of adrenaline and the incomparable Porsche DNA,” said Christopher Hunter, Chief Executive Officer of Sime Darby Auto Performance.
The new Taycan Turbo and Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo make their debut in Malaysia at PWRS, featuring significant updates. These new models boast more power, increased range, faster acceleration, and quicker charging capabilities. For instance, the Taycan and Taycan Turbo S accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.8 and 2.4 seconds respectively, making them significantly faster than their predecessors.
The WLTP range for the new Taycan has also increased by up to 175 km, now reaching up to 678 km, reducing the need for frequent charging stops on long trips. Additionally, the new Taycan recharges faster at 800-volt DC charging stations.
All Taycan versions come with an enhanced standard equipment list and the latest generation of the Porsche Driver Experience, which features an improved display and control concept.
Bookings for the new Porsche Taycan models are now open, with availability at Porsche Centres nationwide starting from July 2024 and prices starting from RM575,000.
The event also featured an exclusive preview of the all-electric Porsche Macan before its official launch. The Macan 4 and Macan Turbo, representing the second generation of Porsche’s compact SUV, now come in all-electric form, combining iconic Porsche design with high performance, long-distance range, and everyday practicality.
