On the 8th and 9th of June, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre will host the 2024 International Automodified (IAM) and Malaysia Motor Expo (MME). Visitors to IAM-MME 2024 stand a chance to win a modified Honda N-Box. IAM, the largest car tuning and lifestyle show, pays tribute to 300 of Malaysia’s best-modified cars. This event has toured over 38 cities in Indonesia since 2001 and has held shows in Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. Attracting thousands of car enthusiasts annually, IAM presents awards in 100 categories, including the prestigious King of IAM KL title. This year, IAM will also make its debut in the United States in August. 
In conjunction with IAM, this year’s event celebrates the 20th Malaysian Car of the Year (COTY) Awards, honoring the best new vehicles of 2024. On display will be winning cars from COTY 2023, including the Overall Winner, the Honda e-HEV Civic RS, along with models from Volvo, Ford, BYD, Perodua, Cherry, and others.
The event will also feature the latest in automotive technology, products, and innovations from various stakeholders, car dealers, and original equipment manufacturers (OEM). This year’s show highlights vocational training leading to internationally recognized certification in electric vehicles. Additionally, visitors can explore a variety of vehicles not available in official showrooms, presented by independent vehicle importers.
The 20th Malaysia Car of the Year Awards celebrates the best new cars in Malaysia, focusing on models introduced between August 1, 2023, and July 31, 2024. Judged by an experienced panel of automotive journalists and professionals, cars are evaluated based on design, technology, safety, and value for money. This year introduces a new category recognizing achievements in vehicle electrification and EV-friendly properties.
