UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd (UMWT) is excited to announce the third edition of the Toyota START YOUR IMPOSSIBLE Outrun, a prominent event under Toyota’s global Start Your Impossible (SYI) campaign. This annual charity run, set to take place at Dataran Merdeka, continues to attract nationwide participation, championing a noble cause while promoting Toyota’s vision of Mobility for All.
The Start Your Impossible campaign, launched during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics by Toyota Motor Corporation, aims to enhance Toyota’s youthful brand image and highlight its leadership in innovative mobility solutions. Aligned with this global initiative, UMWT organizes the annual Toyota START YOUR IMPOSSIBLE Outrun. The event not only emphasizes physical activity but also underscores social responsibility by raising funds for the National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM). These funds support cancer awareness, research, and essential services for patients and their families.
Datuk Ravindran K., President of UMWT, spoke about the event’s importance: “The Toyota START YOUR IMPOSSIBLE Outrun reflects our commitment to Move Your World. It’s a platform for fostering social responsibility and empowering individuals to see mobility as a force for positive change in our communities. We aim to inspire participants to push their limits and recognize the profound impact they can have by supporting a worthy cause.”
Building on the success of previous years, which saw over 4,300 participants, the Toyota START YOUR IMPOSSIBLE Outrun continues to cater to a wide range of ages and abilities. This year’s event features competitive races, including a 10KM race for individuals aged 18 and above, with a RM50,000 prize pool for top finishers. Additionally, a Fun Run category will allow participants of all ages to join in and support the cause.
The Toyota START YOUR IMPOSSIBLE Outrun goes beyond competition, symbolizing a collective movement towards change. It unites individuals committed to making a difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families, celebrating the power of unity and community in driving positive societal change.
“Cancer is the fourth leading cause of death in Malaysia, underscoring the critical need for awareness and support,” emphasized Datuk Ravindran K. “Together, we can significantly impact the lives of cancer patients and their families while supporting essential research and services to combat this disease.”
