In response to the surging demand for New Energy Vehicles (NEVs), PRO-NET is excited to announce the expansion of its charging infrastructure network. With a dedicated aim to hasten adoption and ensure convenient travel for EV owners, our organization is steadfast in providing seamless access to fast and efficient charging solutions across Malaysia.
Since debuting the Proton DC Charger at its headquarters last October, PRO-NET has been proactively broadening the charging infrastructure across its Proton Edar Dealerships. Teaming up with partner Gentari, the organization has successfully deployed six (6) DC Chargers, comprising twelve (12) charging bays, with each bay equipped with two nozzles. This rollout includes one unit each of 50 kW, 100 kW, and 120 kW, along with three units of 60 kW DC chargers.
This expansion signifies a significant enhancement to our existing smart dealership network, known for offering a comprehensive charging solution. Covering Peninsular Malaysia, the installation of five (5) DC chargers and thirteen (13) AC Chargers has resulted in a total of twenty-two (22) charging bays. Moreover, PRO-NET is set to expand its presence in the East, with imminent plans to introduce additional charging infrastructure as part of its dealership expansion network in Sabah.
As the trailblazing automotive brand introducing ground-breaking features in Malaysia, such as an integrated charging map seamlessly blending vehicle usage with users’ digital lifestyle, PRO-NET is committed to alleviating range anxiety by providing a comprehensive EV charging map. The Hello smart App delivers real-time updates on charging points, including availability status, ensuring a hassle-free charging experience for users.
Currently, over 70% of public charging points are accessible through the Hello smart App, thanks to strategic partnerships with industry leaders such as chargEV, JomCharge, and Gentari. Users can effortlessly access the charging map from PROTON Edar and Smart Malaysia dealerships, emphasizing our commitment to convenience and accessibility.
In alignment with our Global Sustainability Strategy and unwavering dedication to promoting sustainable transportation solutions, PRO-NET warmly welcomes owners of various EV vehicles or brands to utilize our chargers. However, we acknowledge that access to chargers at the Hap Seng dealer is currently reserved for smart and Mercedes-Benz owners.
