BMW Group Malaysia, in collaboration with Gentari Sdn Bhd (Gentari) via its subsidiary Gentari Green Mobility Sdn Bhd, has inaugurated fresh EV charging amenities at The Exchange TRX, Malaysia’s premier lifestyle destination. The launch of these state-of-the-art facilities represents a significant stride in the luxury automaker’s endeavor to fortify Malaysia’s electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure.

Situated conveniently within The Exchange TRX’s underground parking, the new EV charging stations feature a collective thirteen units of 22kWh AC chargers, providing EV owners with a rapid and efficient means to recharge their vehicles while indulging in the luxurious shopping experience. Five charging units are positioned at the Premium Parking level, while the remaining eight units are situated at Level B1.

To date, BMW Group Malaysia has deployed over 2,020 charging facilities across its network, forged through strategic alliances with diverse EV charging providers in Malaysia. Through purpose-driven collaborations with key industry stakeholders, BMW Group Malaysia remains steadfast in its commitment to shaping the nation’s mobility landscape. Moreover, more than 100 BMW i and MINI charging stations are available at authorized dealerships and partner venues nationwide, with further expansion slated as part of the forthcoming strategic infrastructure initiatives.

Meanwhile, as a leading charging point operator in Malaysia, Gentari underscores its dedication to safety and compliance by boasting the largest network of licensed chargers endorsed by the Energy Commission. With the recent introduction of its clean energy platform, ‘Gentari Go’, Gentari’s cross-border roaming partnerships grant customers access to an extensive network of over 2,000 chargers spanning Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.

The EV charging stations at The Exchange TRX are accessible to electric vehicle owners from 10 AM to 10 PM daily, with charging rates set at RM0.25 per minute.
