UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd (UMWT) wrapped up February 2024 with a total sales figure of 7,480 units (Toyota + Lexus), comprising 7,347 units for Toyota and 133 units for Lexus. This brings the year-to-date sales as of February 2024 to 13,756 units.
Recently, UMWT hosted the “Beyond Zero” event, a nine-day exhibition showcasing cutting-edge innovations in line with Toyota’s global aim of achieving Carbon Neutrality by 2050. The event was inaugurated by YB Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, Minister of Investment, Trade, and Industry (MITI), alongside YB Chang Lih Kang, Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI). “Beyond Zero” highlights Toyota’s leadership in technology and sustainability, featuring groundbreaking technologies and underscoring Toyota’s commitment to a greener and more interconnected future.
The event spotlighted various innovative vehicles, including Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV), Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV), and Hydrogen Fuel Cell (FCEV) technology, showcasing Toyota’s dedication to innovation and fostering a low-carbon ecosystem in Malaysia. This event signifies a significant step in Toyota’s journey towards sustainable mobility.
On March 1, 2024, the eagerly anticipated Toyota Hiace Panel Van 3.0 IMP2024 was unveiled and is now available for booking, boasting substantial upgrades. The enhanced 3.0L engine, replacing the previous 2.5L, complies with Euro 4 emission standards, ensuring cleaner emissions in alignment with the company’s commitment to a low-carbon ecosystem. The upgraded engine now delivers 136 PS at 3400 rpm, along with a torque pull of 300 Nm at 1200 – 2400 rpm, facilitating effortless load carrying.
In its effort to enhance the purchasing experience, UMWT launched the “Journey of Reflections” promotion, offering customers up to 100% financing for selected models.
