Tesla has unveiled its latest milestone in Southeast Asia with the inauguration of its largest Supercharging station at Gamuda Cove in Selangor. In a concerted effort to expedite the global transition to sustainable energy, Tesla has partnered with Gamuda Land to cultivate a nature sanctuary and develop a smart, sustainable city. The collaboration brings forth a total of 6 Superchargers and 18 Destination Chargers at Gamuda Cove, marking a significant advancement in facilitating electric vehicle (EV) charging accessibility and convenience within the region.

This joint endeavor between Tesla and Gamuda Land underscores a pivotal stride towards bolstering the EV charging infrastructure in Malaysia. Tesla reaffirms its commitment to fortifying the charging network across the nation, with plans for additional Tesla charging stations slated for operation in the coming months.

With a steadfast dedication to delivering a comprehensive ownership experience, Tesla endeavors to provide a seamless charging solution coupled with cutting-edge technology. The ethos of ‘Plug in, charge, and go’ encapsulates the essence of the Tesla charging experience. Through the Tesla App, users gain access to real-time information on charger availability, navigation to charging points, and monitoring of charge status. Moreover, the automated processing of Supercharging payments via the Tesla App streamlines the charging process, empowering Tesla owners to embark on journeys with unparalleled ease and convenience.

The implementation of a pay-per-use Supercharging fee positions Tesla’s charging infrastructure as one of the most cost-efficient options in the market, priced at RM 1.25 per kilowatt-hour. Presently, Tesla has established 7 Supercharging stations equipped with 36 chargers, along with 9 Destination Charging stations featuring 55 chargers across Malaysia. In addition to facilitating travel between Malaysia and Singapore, Tesla continues to expand its charging network into Singapore, boasting a total of 11 Supercharging stations and 9 Destination Charging stations.
