Stellantis N.V. has launched its Stellantis Malaysia National Sales Company (Stellantis Malaysia) on March 1st, 2024, ushering in a new era for the automotive giant in Malaysia. Stellantis Malaysia will oversee marketing, sales, distribution, and aftersales operations, marking a significant step in the company’s growth strategy within the ASEAN region, aligning with its electrification goals and the global Dare Forward 2030 strategy.

Jamie Francis Morais, Managing Director of Stellantis Malaysia, expressed enthusiasm about this pivotal moment, outlining the organization’s key priorities, including market expansion, product diversification, dealership network expansion, and enhancing customer experiences, particularly in East Malaysia.

Taking over from Bermaz Auto, the former distributor for the PEUGEOT brand, Stellantis Malaysia aims to build upon the brand’s legacy while introducing a broader range of vehicles from the Stellantis portfolio. Morais extended appreciation to Bermaz Auto for their contributions and affirmed Stellantis Malaysia’s commitment to driving growth and customer satisfaction.

In addition to the renowned PEUGEOT brand, Stellantis unveiled plans to introduce new vehicles, including the all-new PEUGEOT 408 and locally-assembled PEUGEOT LANDTREK, alongside offerings from other Stellantis brands like Citroën, Alfa Romeo, and Jeep.

Investor Days serve as a platform for Stellantis to reinforce its support for dealers, emphasizing comprehensive sales and after-sales services to ensure mutual success and customer satisfaction. Furthermore, Stellantis announced plans to leverage its Gurun plant in Kedah as a regional manufacturing hub, investing over RM2 billion (€400 million) to introduce the STLA Medium platform for producing multi-energy vehicles locally.

To enhance customer support, Stellantis established a dedicated Call Center, providing assistance for PEUGEOT, DS, and Citroën vehicle owners, including sales inquiries, feedback handling, and 24/7 roadside assistance.
