Volvo’s fully electric crossover SUV, the C40 Recharge Pure Electric, undergoes a significant upgrade for the 2024 model year. For the 2024 C40, the previous two 150kW e-motors is now replaced with an enhanced output of 183kW at the rear axle and a new 117kW asynchronous electric motor at the front axle, this setup delivers a maximum power output of 300kW, ensuring an exhilarating driving experience accentuated by rear power delivery.
Furthermore, the updated model boasts an upgraded 82kWh battery pack, up from 78kWh, accommodating a higher maximum input of 200kW for DC charging. This enhancement allows for a 10 to 80 percent charge in just 27 minutes, significantly improving charging efficiency. Combined with the new twin-motor configuration and efficiency enhancements in battery cooling, the Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric now offers an extended range, surpassing its predecessor by an impressive 100km.
