Dinamikjaya Motors Sdn Bhd recently announced that the 7-seater and 8-seater Kia Carnival will be updated for the 2024 model year. This follows the announcement of the locally assembled 11-seater Kia Carnival. The 7-seater Kia Carnival will be priced at RM 259,888.00, and the 8-seater variant will be priced at RM 245,888.00.
As for its update, the 2024 Kia Carnival will come with a new interior color similar to the 11-seater variant. The interior now features black leather seats and grey trim to differentiate itself from the previous variant. Even though the 12.3-inch infotainment system looks similar to the previous variant, the hardware and software have received updates. It will now come with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, which were also available on the 11-seater variant. 
For the exterior, it will receive larger 19-inch rims, now painted black in color. This will definitely enhance the sportiness of the 7 and 8-seater MPV. While both variants will come with a full suite of safety and driver assistance systems, Kia Malaysia also adds the Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM) that wasn’t available on the Carnival previously. 
The Kia Carnival will continue to be powered by the 2.2L Turbo diesel engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission controlled by an electronic shifter (E-Shift). Its engine produces 199 horsepower at 3,800 RPM and 440 Nm of torque from just 1,750 – 2,750 RPM, offering smooth, linear acceleration and a performance driving experience.
In 2024, Dinamikjaya has discontinued the 8-seater Mid variant, which will be replaced by the 11-seater variant. The 11-seater Carnival will be priced at RM 198,500. All different Kia Carnival variants are locally assembled as CKD at the Inokom Assembly Plant in Kulim, Kedah. The color lineup includes Astra Blue, Snow White Pearl, Meteor Gray, and Jet Black, making a total of 4 colors available.
The updated Carnival is now officially open for sale and comes with a 5-Year Manufacturer Warranty with a coverage period of up to five years and a mileage limit of 100,000km, whichever comes first.
