Tesla has announced the extension of its charging network to Penang, introducing two new Destination Charging stations at The Ship Campus in Batu Kawan and All Seasons Place. This expansion significantly boosts the accessibility of charging points for Tesla owners, facilitating cross-country journeys from Singapore through Johor to Penang.
Tesla’s Destination Charging stations are designed to offer Tesla owners convenient and reliable charging options. Users can simply plug in their vehicles and enjoy complimentary charging services. Through the Tesla app, owners can conveniently monitor the charging status and receive notifications when their vehicles are fully charged and ready for use.
The newly established charging infrastructure comprises 8 Destination Chargers at The Ship Campus and 4 Destination Chargers at All Seasons Place, totaling 12 additional charging points across Penang. The Destination Chargers at The Ship Campus are situated in the outdoor car park and are accessible round the clock. Similarly, the chargers at All Seasons Place, located on the Ground Floor of the Indoor car park, are also available 24/7.
Currently, Malaysia boasts 6 Supercharging stations and 8 Destination Charging stations, providing a combined total of 30 Superchargers and 37 Destination Chargers across major cities. Tesla remains committed to expanding its charging infrastructure in Penang and throughout Malaysia, ensuring comprehensive coverage to support the growing community of Tesla owners.
