BMW Malaysia recently introduced their refreshed iterations of the BMW iX xDrive50 Sport and the BMW iX M60, which exemplify the brand’s commitment to advancing Electrified Mobility and shaping the future of driving in Malaysia.
Both the BMW iX xDrive50 Sport and the BMW iX M60 have received updates to their technological capabilities, setting new standards for electrified mobility in the local market while maintaining their iconic BMW iX series design elements. These updates include enhanced charging capabilities and the integration of dual-axle suspension for a smoother ride.
Key among the enhancements is the standard inclusion of AC Charging Professional, which significantly reduces charging times for both vehicles. With 22 kW charging capabilities, the BMW iX models can achieve a full charge in under 5 hours and 30 minutes, making charging at home or public AC chargers more efficient and convenient. Moreover, high-power charging of up to 195 kW enables rapid charging from 0% to 80% in just 35 minutes, while an 11kW AC Wallbox Charger provides a full charge in 11 hours.
Owners of the BMW iX models will benefit from access to over 1,700 charging facilities nationwide, thanks to partnerships with major local EV charging providers like ChargeEV and Yinson GreenTech. These collaborations ensure a seamless Premium Electric Ownership Experience aligned with the evolving landscape of Electric Mobility in Malaysia.
Performance-wise, the BMW iX xDrive50 Sport boasts an impressive maximum output of 385 kW/523 hp and an electric range of up to 630 km (WLTP). With dynamic acceleration and a top speed of 200 km/h, it offers a thrilling driving experience. Meanwhile, the BMW iX M60 features a combined output of 455 kW/619 hp and an electric range of up to 561 km (WLTP), achieving a century sprint in just 3.8 seconds.
Both models now come standard with dual-axle air suspension for a refined driving experience and BMW Iconic Sounds Electric for an immersive audio experience. Comfort Access with BMW Digital Key Plus allows for convenient and secure access using a compatible smartphone, while the luxurious cabin features Interior Design Atelier, Harman Kardon sound system, BMW Live Cockpit Professional, and more for enhanced comfort and convenience.
Exterior color options for the BMW iX models include Alpine White, Mineral White Metallic, and several other metallic options, with additional choices available for an extra charge. Interior upholstery options include Mocha or Black as standard, with further customization options available at an additional cost.
The BMW iX xDrive50 Sport and BMW iX M60 will come with the complete BMW Group Malaysia Premium Ownership experience that include BMW 5-Year Unlimited Mileage Warranty with Free Scheduled Service Programme, BMW 8-Year / 160,000 km Battery Warranty (whichever comes first), BMW Roadside Assistance and Accident Hotline, and BMW Service Online. The BMW iX xDrive50 Sport will be priced at RM 465,800.00, and the BMW iX M60 is priced at RM 579,800.00. If you wanted to add on the BMW Service & Repair Inclusive which consists of 5-Year Extended Warranty and Service Package, you need to top up another RM 33,200.00.
