BMW Malaysia recently previewed the facelifted Plug-in Hybrid BMW X5 variant, and a few weeks later, BMW Malaysia announced the price for the new BMW X5. The new BMW X5 is priced at RM 486,800.00, and customers could top up RM 41,300.00 for the BMW Service & Repair Inclusive which consists of 5-Year Extended Warranty and Service Package.
This new X5 will be continue to be locally assembled, and it will be the BMW X5 xDrive50e. Coming with M Sport package as standard, the new X5 will come with better performance, more efficient, and greater electric range.
The updated car will come with a more powerful PHEV powertrain, and it now produces 489 hp and 700 Nm of torque. This is 96 hp more than the outgoing model. The powertrain combines a 3.0L turbocharged inline-6 engine mated to a powerful electric motor, where it allow the new X5 to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds. With a bigger battery, the X5 now has a maximum WLTP range of 110km. Other than a bigger battery, the onboard charger has also been updated to a 7.4 kW charging speed, where it can charge from 0-100 % in just 4.5 hours.
Within the impeccably crafted interior of the New BMW X5 xDrive50e M Sport, the driver is welcomed by the remarkable 14.9-inch BMW Curved Display featuring a fully digital display cluster, now enhanced with the cutting-edge BMW Operating System 8.5. This system incorporates the BMW Live Cockpit Professional and a versatile BMW instrument panel, facilitating a comprehensive range of interaction methods between the vehicle’s occupants and the car itself. Interaction can occur through the iDrive Controller, voice commands, touch gestures, or the optional Gesture Control. Standard features also include the ambient Light Bar with a crystalline surface structure and the Harman Kardon Surround sound system. The center console of the New BMW X5 xDrive50e M Sport now features a redesigned layout with additional touch-sensitive function keys, and gear changes are executed using a rocker switch.

The exterior color options of Black Sapphire, Manhattan, Mineral White, and Skyscraper Grey are complemented by the “Merino” interior upholstery, a member of the BMW Individual Extended Leather family. This luxurious interior upholstery is available in two distinct color options – Black and Tartufo, both embodying the promise of athletic sophistication and modern luxury inherent in the New BMW X5 xDrive50e M Sport.
