In a heartwarming collaboration, Hot Rocket Racing Club recently joined forces with the Great Vision Charity Association to organize a special charity event aimed at introducing underprivileged boys to the exhilarating world of racing. The event, held at the prestigious Pinnacle Gokart Circuit in Subang, not only provided these youngsters with a thrilling go-karting experience but also imparted valuable life skills in an educational and engaging manner.
The 1000-meter track at Pinnacle Gokart Circuit, known as a premier training ground for aspiring racers, offered a perfect setting with smooth corners, varying track elevations, and long high-speed straights. The industry-standard Sodi RT10 karts from France added to the excitement, ensuring both seasoned and amateur drivers experienced the thrill of racing.
The program kicked off with a ‘Trackwalk,’ where a knowledgeable coach guided the boys along the track, emphasizing racing lines, braking points, and essential car control techniques. Following the Trackwalk, the boys engaged in a ‘Grand Prix’ race format, featuring warm-up, qualifying, and the ultimate race, each lasting 10 minutes.
The warm-up and qualifying rounds allowed drivers to showcase their skills and determine their starting positions on the grid. In between rounds, the boys participated in Q&A sessions with the coach, gaining valuable insights and addressing challenges faced on the track.
As the race commenced, the boys passionately vied for position, navigating the challenging track with varying levels of skill. Some pushed the limits, taking corners at breakneck speeds and experiencing thrilling spins, while others demonstrated finesse and steady control. The checkered flag marked the end of the race, with the proud winner crossing the finish line in triumph.
The event concluded with a prize ceremony and a memorable photo session, capturing the boys’ first steps into the world of motorsports. The workshop not only provided an unforgettable experience but also instilled crucial life skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and resilience.
