Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has recently unveiled the latest addition to its electric vehicle lineup, introducing the Mercedes-Benz EQE 500 4MATIC SUV. Crafted to be the perfect companion for diverse adventures, this SUV boasts impressive driving dynamics and an expansive interior space, all at a price point of RM 485,888.

Under the hood, the EQE SUV is propelled by two electric motors, generating a combined output of 408 horsepower and an impressive 858 Newton-meters of torque. Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds, it achieves a top speed of 210 km/h. The vehicle is equipped with a 90.56 kWh battery, providing a WLTP range of up to 552 km. Charging options include a 22 kW on-board AC charger, allowing for a 0-100% charge in 4 hours and 45 minutes, and a rapid 170 kW DC charger, providing an 80% charge in just 32 minutes. The EQE SUV also features 4Matic all-wheel drive systems, Airmatic air suspension, and rear-wheel steering with a range of up to 10 degrees.

Externally, the EQE SUV showcases the iconic Mercedes-Benz three-dimensional star pattern, distinctive daytime running lights, and intelligent Digital Light at the front. The AMG Line package adds specific design elements such as an AMG front bumper, A-Wing trim in high-gloss chrome, and 21-inch AMG multi-spoke light-alloy wheels.

Inside, the EQE SUV accommodates five passengers with a spacious 520-liter boot that can be expanded to 1,675 liters by folding down the rear seats. The AMG Line Package enhances the interior with black/space grey leather, a soft rear armrest, brown open-pore magnolia wood trim, and aluminum elements.

The electric driving experience is tailored with a blue/orange graphic operating structure, customizable cockpit displays, and advanced features like augmented reality navigation and a powerful Dolby Atmos sound system.

In addition to the vehicle launch, Mercedes Benz Malaysia has partnered with Gentari to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in Malaysia. This collaboration aims to explore the development of EV charging infrastructure and value-added services, including tailored charging subscription plans.

The initiative, in collaboration with EV Connection Sdn Bhd (EVC), will strategically position charging facilities across Malaysia, providing EV drivers with confidence for long-distance travel. Gentari Green Mobility, with 79 DC chargers across 9 states in Malaysia, aims to capture over 10% market share in public charge points and Vehicle-as-a-Service (VaaS) offerings in key markets across Asia Pacific by 2030.
