Malaysia is gearing up to welcome a fresh selection of electric bikes and motorcycles as United E-Motor, an electric motorcycle brand from the Indonesian bicycle manufacturer PT. Terang Dunia Internusa (PT TDI), is preparing for its official debut in the Malaysian market. This exciting development has been made possible through a strategic collaboration with Artroniq Bhd, a prominent Malaysian investment holding company, which will act as the exclusive distributor for United E-Motor in the country.
The upcoming grand launch event is set to be a momentous occasion, where the event will kick off with an introduction to the partnership between Artroniq Bhd and United E-Motor, followed by keynote addresses from key representatives of PT TDI, Artroniq Bhd, ASEAN Trade, Tourism, and Economic Council (ATEC), Indonesia Retail & Tenant Association (HIPPINDO), and the Ministry of Trade of Indonesia.
Scheduled to take place at the Piazza of Pavilion Bukit Jalil on October 30, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., the grand launch event will not only include thrilling stunt shows but will also provide the public with the exciting opportunity to test drive United E-Motor’s TX-series electric bike models.
During this grand launch, Artroniq Bhd will proudly introduce two United E-Motor bike models to the Malaysian market, the TX3000 and TX1800. The TX3000 offers remarkable performance, boasting a top speed of up to 90 km/h and a travel range of 120 km per full charge. Meanwhile, the TX1800 stands out with its impressive 0–80% recharge rate within just 1.5 hours. Both models feature hydraulic hinged seats, extra-large underseat storage, built-in Bluetooth connectivity, and a dedicated mobile app with features such as an SOS button, ignition control, Find My Motor, a live dashboard, and much more.
United E-Motor, with a legacy spanning over 50 years in Indonesia, has joined forces with Artroniq Bhd, the esteemed Malaysian distributor for this brand, following a collaboration agreement signed in September 2023. This partnership not only brings these incredible motorcycles to the Malaysian audience but also allows Artroniq to partake in United E-Motor’s cutting-edge proprietary technology and assembly processes right here in Malaysia.
In an impressive milestone, Malaysia becomes the first country to import this iconic Indonesian brand. Artroniq Bhd will soon establish distribution and experiential concept stores in three locations, with further details to be announced next year.
With United E-Motor’s steady growth and Artroniq’s expertise in the assembly and distribution of these unique motorcycles, both entities are exploring further avenues for collaboration, including venturing into electric motorcycle battery and charger manufacturing and e-battery swapping kiosks.
The grand launch of United E-Motor symbolizes the commitment of PT TDI and Artroniq Bhd to provide Malaysians with innovative, eco-friendly, and convenient transportation options. As the demand for sustainable mobility solutions continues to soar, United E-Motor is poised to make a significant impact on Malaysia’s urban transportation landscape.
