Toyota Malaysia has taken a proactive stance to combat the grey import market by unveiling the latest generation Toyota Alphard and Toyota Vellfire. Built upon the cutting-edge TNGA-K platform, these new MPVs are poised to establish a new benchmark for automotive excellence in Malaysia, providing a blend of efficiency and opulence for commuters.
At the pinnacle of the range, the Toyota Alphard is equipped with a novel 2.4L turbocharged engine, harmoniously paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. This formidable powertrain boasts the capability to generate 278 PS and a peak torque of 430 Nm. On the other hand, the Malaysian variant of the Vellfire will be powered by a 2.5L engine matched with a 7-speed Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT), delivering 182 PS and 235 Nm of peak torque. 
The real allure of these two new MPVs lies within their interiors. Stepping into either of these vehicles is akin to boarding a private jet, thanks to Toyota’s harmonious blend of leather and woodgrain finishes. Moreover, both models are equipped with two fixed Panoramic Glass Roofs that flood the cabin with natural light. The driver benefits from convenient access to mechanical switches and controls. 
Passenger comfort is a top priority, with seat heaters and ventilation provided for the front and second-row seats. The Alphard takes luxury a step further, offering a massage function as part of the executive lounge specification. 
In terms of safety, both MPVs are equipped with the latest Toyota Safety Sense 3.0. This advanced safety suite includes features like Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert, Road Sign Assist, and an Adaptive High-Beam System. 
The Alphard and Vellfire will be available in four distinct colors, including Platinum White Pearl, Precious Metal, Precious Leo-Blond (exclusive to the Alphard), and Black. The Toyota Vellfire will have a price tag of RM 438,000, while the Toyota Alphard will be priced at RM 538,000. Both vehicles come with a comprehensive 5-year warranty package.
