Bosch Automotive Aftermarket (AA), in alignment with its mission of making a positive impact on the community, has introduced the #CareForSafety campaign, aimed at enhancing the safety and well-being of children under the care of the Dignity For Children Foundation.
Klaus Landhaeusser, Managing Director of Bosch Malaysia, expressed the company’s commitment to being a socially responsible and value-driven corporation dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals from diverse backgrounds. The timing of this project coincides with Bosch’s centenary milestone, adding significance to their efforts.
#CareForSafety centers on road safety education and sponsoring bus transportation for the children at Dignity For Children Foundation. The educational workshops will impart crucial knowledge to the children about the importance of road safety and how to protect themselves while traveling. The bus transportation sponsorship program will facilitate safer school commutes for the children and help alleviate family expenses by subsidizing transportation fees.
Dillion Goh, Country Business Director of Bosch Automotive Aftermarket Malaysia, stressed Bosch AA’s unwavering commitment to children’s safety. The primary goal is to educate, engage, and empower these children through various activities conducted alongside Dignity For Children Foundation. Bosch encourages its business partners, associates, Bosch eXtra members (loyalty program), and the general public to contribute to the initiative through a crowdfunding platform to sponsor monthly bus fees for the children.
Among the programs offered at Dignity For Children Foundation is the PRO Safety Workshop, designed for teachers. This workshop will equip teachers with the knowledge to teach the children about road safety, personal safety, and online safety. Professional organizations will collaborate in these workshops to provide expert guidance on staying safe in different environments.
Elisha Satvinder, Co-founder of Dignity For Children Foundation, emphasized the importance of safety, especially given the school’s location in Sentul Raya Boulevard, where classrooms are spread across different buildings and roads are bustling with traffic. Bosch AA’s support ensures that students can focus on their studies with peace of mind.
Kenneth Soh, Head of Marketing at Shopee Malaysia, expressed their pleasure in collaborating with Bosch for this campaign, which supports underserved children. Shopee’s commitment to community empowerment and technology’s potential to benefit all aligns well with this initiative. Shopee has dedicated a #CareForSafety microsite and homepage banner on its platform to expand the campaign’s reach to its extensive user base, making it easier for the public to contribute.
Furthermore, during the campaign, Bosch AA, in conjunction with Carsuka Automotive, their eCommerce dealer, will donate RM4 to the initiative for every purchase of brake-related products on the Bosch Autoparts Official Store.
The #CareForSafety campaign is an integral part of Bosch’s ‘Care For Life’ initiative, which contributes to communities of vulnerable children in the ASEAN region. It enjoys support from Bosch Primavera, a charitable organization established by Bosch associates, that has been helping children worldwide since 1990.
This launch of #CareForSafety in Malaysia marks the fourth country where the ASEAN-wide #CareForLife campaign has been initiated, with plans in the pipeline for Vietnam and Thailand. These forthcoming campaigns will focus on children’s health and clean air, respectively.
