BMW Malaysia is expanding its local assembly lineup with the introduction of the latest generation BMW X1, specifically the sDrive20i xLine variant. This marks the inclusion of the third generation BMW X1, boasting larger dimensions and a more potent powertrain.
In terms of its exterior design, the new X1 is characterized by the iconic large kidney grille with a pearl chrome frame, distinctive chrome accents on the outer air intake, dark grey trim elements at the base, and wraparound LED headlights with innovative daytime running lights. Adding to its appeal, the X1 features flared square wheel arches housing 19-inch lightweight alloy wheels in V-Spoke Style 867 Bicolour.
As part of the xLine package, the X1 boasts xLine front and rear bumpers, Glacier Silver mirror covers, and door sill panels with Matte Aluminium BMW designation. Customers in Malaysia can choose from a range of five striking colors, including Black Sapphire, Alpine White, Cape York Green, Phytonic Blue, and Space Silver. 
Stepping inside the latest X1, you’ll discover a stylish cockpit featuring BMW’s cutting-edge curved display, which comprises a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and a central 10.7-inch Control Display. This curved display is powered by the BMW Operating System 8, complete with BMW Live Cockpit Plus functionality. Similar to the iX1, the X1 incorporates a floating armrest that eliminates the central tunnel for a more spacious feel.
Additional interior enhancements include the new M leather steering wheel with shift paddles, two-zone automatic air conditioning, M Headliner Anthracite, and elevated front Sport seats upholstered in Sensatec. The X1 also benefits from Comfort Access and the BMW Digital Key Plus, offering enhanced connectivity features.
Under the hood, the X1 is equipped with a robust 2.0L 4-cylinder engine generating 204hp and a peak torque of 300Nm. This engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, enabling the X1 to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 7.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 236 km/h. The X1 comes standard with a suite of safety features, including Hill Start Assist, Speed Limiter, Attentiveness Assistant, Lane Departure Warning with active steering intervention, and Front Collision and Left Turn Warnings, both with braking function, as well as the Evasion Assistant.
