Following the successful debut of the imported Mercedes Benz GLC 300 4Matic, Mercedes Benz Malaysia is elated to reveal that they will now be producing this model locally. This shift in production means the GLC’s price is now set at RM 378,888.

Mirroring the features of its CBU counterpart, the locally-produced GLC retains the sporty AMG Line exterior. It includes the striking AMG front apron complete with dynamic air intakes and a chrome trim. Additionally, its rear boasts a diffuser-style AMG apron. A new inclusion for the local version, though, is the panoramic sunroof, designed to flood the cabin with light.

Externally, the GLC showcases 20-inch AMG multi-spoke light-alloy wheels. The back features a faux underguard in chrome, coupled with chrome tailpipe trims. To enhance nighttime driving, the GLC is equipped with the advanced Digital Light system.

Inside, the sporty theme continues with the AMG Line interior. The cabin is adorned with black ARTICO synthetic leather, MICROCUT microfibre, and sporty AMG pedals. A nappa leather-wrapped steering wheel further elevates the premium feel for the driver.

Central to the dashboard is a sharp 12.3-inch display serving as the instrument cluster. This pairs with an 11.9-inch infotainment screen, ensuring the driver is well-informed. This infotainment platform is powered by the latest MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) system, supported by a state-of-the-art Burmester® 3D surround sound system with 15 top-notch speakers.

For added convenience, Mercedes has integrated the HANDS-FREE ACCESS feature, making the ample 620L boot space easily accessible. This innovative sensor, situated below the rear bumper, recognizes a foot gesture to activate the tailgate. Rounding off the GLC’s offerings is the newly added Parking package – encompassing a 360-degree camera and the functionalities of the Active Parking Assist combined with PARKTRONIC.

Under the hood, the GLC 300 4Matic houses a 2.0L turbo engine, churning out 258 hp and a peak torque of 400 Nm. This engine benefits from a mild hybrid system, boosting its power while optimizing fuel efficiency. Such a setup enables the GLC 300 to sprint from 0-100 km/h in a mere 6.2 seconds, reaching top speeds of 240 km/h.
