Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) is extending the IONIQ 6 family in Malaysia, introducing two fresh additions, the Lite and Plus variants. These new options complement the previously launched Max RWD and Max AWD models, which made quite an entrance in July.
This 2 new models are the Lite and Plus variants, which will be powered by a single-motor that sends power to the rear of the vehicle. Sporting a 53 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery, they are equipped with a 111 kW motor that delivers an impressive 350 Nm of torque, the same as the Max RWD variant. This powertrain propels both Lite and Plus models from 0 to 100 km/h in a swift 8.8 seconds. 
Notably, these variants offer a range of 429 km on the rigorous WLTP cycle. Thanks to the shared 800-volt architecture with the Max variants, the Lite and Plus can recharge from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes, using a maximum of 350 kW DC charging. Even with less powerful chargers, they outperform the Max models, taking 58 minutes to reach 80% charge at 50 kW DC and 5.5 hours for a 0% to 100% charge at 11 kW AC. 
The Lite and Plus variants inherit many features from the Max versions, including seven airbags (including a front-center airbag), Lane Keeping Assist, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, two seamlessly connected 12.3-inch screens, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay connectivity, 64-color ambient lighting, wireless phone charging, a power tailgate, and more. This ensures that they offer the same levels of modern luxury, advanced technology, and futuristic sophistication. 
As for pricing, the Ioniq 6 Lite RWD will be priced at RM 219,888, while the Plus RWD will be priced at RM 249,888. These prices are on-the-road before insurance and include an eight-year/160,000 km battery warranty. For an additional RM10,000, customers can upgrade the standard vehicle warranty to five years/100,000 km, with an additional three years/50,000 km of free service. The offer of a free one-year Shell Recharge Gold membership for the first 30 owners upon vehicle delivery still stands.

The same five body colors offered with the Max variants, namely Abyss Black Pearl, Nocturne Grey Matte, Biophilic Blue Pearl, Dive Blue Solid, and Gravity Gold Matte, are available for the Lite and Plus variants. Deliveries of the IONIQ 6 Lite and Plus are set to commence in the fourth quarter of this year.
