Bosch Automotive Aftermarket Malaysia (Bosch AA) recently collaborated with Persatuan Bantuan Bencana Alam (MISAR Malaysia) to execute a highly successful flood survival program on September 24, 2023. The event took place at the MISAR Academy in Kuala Lumpur and drew participation from over 200 Malaysians.

In light of the escalating reports of inclement weather conditions due to the monsoon season in Malaysia, the Flood Survival Program assumed paramount significance. Dillion Goh, the Country Business Director of Bosch Automotive Aftermarket Malaysia, emphasized the importance of acquiring these life-saving skills, stating, “With the increased reports on bad weather due to the monsoon season in Malaysia, this Flood Survival Program is essential to stay safe during floods. It is best for the public to learn these skills to be prepared to keep themselves and their families safe.”

The program encompassed a comprehensive spectrum of topics, encompassing flood preparedness, safety measures, and survival training. Participants were equipped with the knowledge to identify flood-prone areas, formulate effective evacuation strategies, and ensure their safety during a flood crisis. Moreover, attendees gained valuable insights into techniques for transporting injured and elderly individuals during floods and how to extricate themselves from submerged vehicles. Furthermore, the program underscored the significance of car safety and the crucial role played by high-quality car parts, especially in the context of natural disasters like flash floods.

Dillion Goh expressed his satisfaction with Bosch’s involvement in this impactful program, stating, “We are happy to be part of this impactful program to raise awareness on the importance of being equipped with flood safety knowledge as the monsoon season is expected to last until early November.”

The flood survival and car safety program resonated profoundly with its participants, who lauded the program for its informative and hands-on content.
