UMW Toyota Motor concluded July 2023 with remarkable sales figures, selling a total of 8,349 units (Toyota + Lexus). Out of this total, Toyota contributed 8,200 units, while Lexus accounted for 149 units. This performance boosted the year-to-date sales as of July 2023 to an impressive 57,008 units, marking an 8.5% increase compared to the year-to-date sales registered in July 2022, which stood at 52,548 units. The monthly sales for July 2023 also showed significant growth, rising by 25.8% compared to the same period in 2022.
Customers in Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, now have enhanced access to Toyota services with the expansion of Armada KK Automobile. The Toyota dealer, serving since 2005, transformed from a 1S center to a comprehensive 3S facility. Located at Mile 6, Jalan Penampang, the new 3S center offers Sales & Service Centre facilities, equipped with 18 service bays, catering to the needs of Toyota drivers in the region.
Similarly, residents of Muar in Peninsular Malaysia received a boost in Toyota services with the opening of a new Toyota 4S center by E.S. Yang Motor. Operating as a Toyota dealer since 1994, the outlet at Jalan Dato’ Haji Kosai integrates its previously separated 1S, 2S, and Body & Paint outlets. The new 4S center features 14 service bays and 20 Body & Paint bays, ensuring an enhanced customer experience for Toyota drivers in the area.
In July, Toyota offered enticing promotions to customers, including up to a 100% loan for purchasing a brand-new Toyota. Customers could also opt for a low installment plan starting from as low as RM628 per month for a Toyota Yaris. Simultaneously, the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing (GR) GT Cup Malaysia online racing series was launched in July, with a new rebranding from the GR Velocity Esports Championship. The series, now in its sixth consecutive year, remains one of the most lucrative online racing events in the country, offering up to RM90,500 in cash prizes, the highest ever in GR GT Cup Malaysia history.
